The radon pipe gurgle and sound like water because there is water stuck in the pipe or below the pipe . Some houses has very high water , which is collecting under foundation. Radon fan is powerful enough to pull some water into the pipe from below. This bubbles of air and water will make gurgle noise.

Water condensation in the pipe is the main reason for the gurgling sound in the radon pipe.

The good news is that radon fan effectively removing humidity in your basement. Radon mitigation system can reduce 4 to 10% of moisture from basement which is about 13 to 19 gallons of moisture per day . Radon fan has multiple functions : remove radon, reduce humidity, and remove other VOC.

Note: Water from rain, snow, and condensation is normal for radon mitigation pipe system; however radon pipe should be tilted down towards the collection point or pump.

Note: we do not recommend rain caps on the top of radon pipe because it easily can cause ice formation during cold weather.
